Do you read history textbooks for accuracy in your spare time? Maybe spend a couple hours every now and then browsing local history at the Vermont Historical Society in Barre? Or maybe like getting lost in a historical fiction novel? Whatever your approach to history – please come down to the Roxbury Free Library to help a group of local Roxbury students prepare for the National History Day contest. They won second place in Vermont History Day this year in the Junior Group Presentation division and advanced to the Nationals. They will give a short presentation about their topic and explain their diorama. Then you are welcome and encouraged to ask questions and make any suggestions to help them improve their presentation and/or diorama. The National History Day topic for this year is “Turning Points in History”!
