During the 2024 legislative session the VT. legislature passed a bill that was signed into law by the Governor. S.220 as it is known, does many good things for the public library landscape in Vermont. A few components of the law directly impact our operations at the RFL and your rights as public library users. Most notably, the patron confidentiality provisions previously awarded to individuals 16 and older has been changed to those who are 12 years old or older.
